Welcome to the Pilot's Paradise Podcast! This is the only podcast that is completely dedicated to Idaho aviation. The purpose of this podcast is to highlight many of the amazing aviators that fly in, through, over, and from our beautiful state. We want to share their stories and inspire others to follow their dreams and join the Idaho aviation community.

Your host for the Pilot’s Paradise Podcast is Robert Haines, a pilot and aviation enthusiast in Eagle, Idaho.  Robert is a certified Air Transport Pilot, Single and Multi-Engine Flight Instructor, and Instrument Instructor with several type ratings.  Robert‘s passion for aviation started when his father took him to an airshow when he was 8 years old.  From that moment on, he was hooked on airplanes.  Robert‘s flying career started with flying and instructing gliders at the US Air Force Academy.  He attended Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard AFB in Texas, then flew several types of special mission aircraft in his military career.  His favorite assignment was flying the U-2 on high-altitude reconnaissance missions. He currently enjoys instructing and recreational flying in anything with wings!
